Bluewater Expense Sheet App for iPhone
Open the Profile tab and fill in your details (BW code, staff number, name, IBAN). Then draw your signature on the signature pad. After that, create your first expense sheet on the Expenses tab.
MC (MasterCard) is for expenses paid with your company credit card. Cash is for expenses you paid out of your own pocket. Each uses a separate Excel template with the correct checkbox pre-marked.
Each expense sheet supports up to 16 line items, matching the official Bluewater Excel template.
Take a photo with the camera, pick from your photo library, or share files directly to Bluespent from any app using the iOS Share Sheet. Supported formats: images (JPEG, PNG, HEIC) and PDF.
Two AI providers are available in Settings:
Apple Intelligence — runs on-device, no API key needed, works offline. Requires an Apple Intelligence-capable device.
Azure OpenAI — uses your company's Azure cloud service for more accurate extraction. Requires an endpoint URL and API key from your IT department. When enabled, receipt images are sent to Microsoft Azure for processing.
AI is entirely optional. Without it, you can manually enter all fields.
When Azure OpenAI is enabled, receipt and statement images (compressed JPEG) are sent to your company's Azure OpenAI endpoint. These images may contain names, amounts, dates, and merchant details. The AI extracts structured data and returns it to the app. No data is retained by the AI service after processing. You must explicitly consent to this when enabling Azure OpenAI in Settings.
Set the currency to "km" and enter the number of kilometres as the amount. The exchange rate will automatically use your car compensation rate from your Profile settings.
EUR, GBP, USD, AED, CNY, HKD, SGD, BRL, NOK, MXN, and km (for mileage).
Open your expense sheet and tap Export. Choose Excel (.xlsx) for the filled-in official template, or Receipts PDF for a compiled PDF of all receipts. Use the Share Sheet to email, AirDrop, print, or save to Files.
All data is stored locally on your iPhone. There is no cloud sync or external database. Profile data and API keys are encrypted in the iOS Keychain. You can enable Face ID or Touch ID for additional protection.

Bluespent stores all data locally on your device. Cloud AI (Azure OpenAI) is optional and requires your explicit consent.
