Privacy Policy

Summary: Bluespent stores all your data locally on your iPhone. We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal information unless you explicitly choose to use Azure OpenAI for receipt scanning.

1. About Bluespent

Bluespent ("the App") is an expense sheet management tool for business professionals. It allows users to create expense sheets, attach receipts, and export filled-in Excel files. The App has no backend server, no user accounts, and no analytics.

2. Data We Collect

We do not collect any data. All information you enter — profile details, expense sheets, receipts, and signatures — is stored exclusively on your device.

3. Data Storage

Profile data and API keys are stored in the iOS Keychain, encrypted by the operating system.
Expense sheets and receipts are stored in the App's local Documents directory.
No data is stored on external servers, cloud services, or databases.

4. Third-Party Services — Azure OpenAI

The App offers optional AI-powered receipt reading via Azure OpenAI (operated by Microsoft). If you choose to enable this feature:

What data is sent: Receipt and statement images (compressed JPEG) are sent to your company's Azure OpenAI endpoint for text extraction. These images may contain names, amounts, dates, IBANs, and merchant details.
Who it is sent to: Microsoft Azure, via your company's private Azure OpenAI deployment. The endpoint URL and API key are provided by your IT department.
How the data is used: Solely to extract structured expense data (date, amount, currency, expense type) from the image. No data is retained by the AI service after processing.
Your control: Azure OpenAI is entirely optional and disabled by default. You must explicitly enable it in Settings, at which point the App presents a consent dialog explaining exactly what data will be shared. You can switch back to Apple Intelligence (on-device) or disable AI at any time.

5. On-Device AI — Apple Intelligence

Apple Intelligence processes everything on your device using Apple's Foundation Models framework. No receipt data leaves your iPhone. No API key is required.

6. Camera and Photo Library

The App requests access to your camera and photo library solely to photograph or select receipt images. These images are stored locally. They are not uploaded to any third party unless you have explicitly enabled Azure OpenAI as described above.

7. Face ID / Touch ID

Optional biometric authentication protects access to your expense data. Biometric data is handled entirely by iOS and is never accessed or stored by the App.

8. Data Sharing & Export

When you export an expense sheet (Excel or PDF) and use the iOS Share Sheet, you control where that file is sent (email, AirDrop, Files, etc.). The App does not automatically share files with any third party.

9. Data Retention

Your data remains on your device until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App. We have no ability to access or delete your data remotely.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
